If you have concerns
If your saffron doesn't perform the way high-grade Kashmiri saffron should — based on the COA or your sensory experience — contact hello@himalayansaffron.com with your Batch ID and order number. We respond within 1–2 business days, and we process quality-related refunds without dispute.
How to recognize high-quality Kashmiri saffron
- Color: Deep crimson with darker tips and slightly lighter ends. Not bright orange or uniform red.
- Bloom test: Real saffron stains warm water deep amber-gold over 10–15 minutes. Lower-grade product either colors instantly (dyes) or never fully blooms (turmeric, marigold).
- Smell: Honey and hay with a faint metallic note. Not sweet or musky.
- Documentation:A trustworthy seller can show you a Batch ID and a COA. If they can't, that tells you what you need to know.
