The story

Origin & harvest

The same hand-harvested saffron that fills our premium jars now arrives in a gift-ready format worthy of the world's most valuable spice. These threads come from the same certified Pampore farms, harvested during the same narrow October–November window, tested by the same independent lab. The difference is how it arrives — in a matte black tin with gold foil embossing, designed to be given, kept, and remembered.

In your kitchen

Sensory & uses

This half-gram tin contains approximately 225–250 saffron threads — more than enough for 8–12 distinct cooking uses. A single bloomed portion (5–7 threads) transforms a pot of rice, a cup of warm milk, a cream sauce, or a simple custard. For the recipient, it's an invitation to explore one of the world's oldest culinary traditions.

Documented proof

Authenticity & lab testing

The gift tin includes a small card with the Batch ID and a QR code linking directly to the Certificate of Analysis. Your recipient can verify their saffron's purity before they cook with it. This is transparency you can give as a gift.

How to bloom saffron

Four steps to release color and flavor

  1. 1

    Measure

Place 5–8 threads in a small bowl or ramekin.

  2. 2

    Warm — not boil

Add 2 tablespoons of warm water (60–70°C / 140–160°F). Boiling water degrades flavor compounds.

  3. 3

    Steep

Let steep for 10–20 minutes. The liquid will turn deep amber-gold.

  4. 4

    Add it all

Add liquid and threads to your dish. Don't discard the steeping liquid — every drop carries color.

Tip: For maximum color, lightly crush threads between your fingers before blooming.
